Some 300 bestselling titles of Iranian children’s books will be presented by an association at the Frankfurt International Book Fair 2017.
The Iranian Association of Writers for Children and Youth will promote the children’s books, which are in English, to visitors at the German fair, said Leila Maktabifard, an official from the association.
Several programs and meetings at the five-day fair will also be presented by the association.
“One of the meetings, focusing on the promotion of book reading in Iran and Germany, will be organized on the opening day of the fair,” Maktabifard noted.
She added that other meetings “will focus on introducing literary agencies active in the publication of children’s books in Iran.”
Veteran children’s book writer Mahmud Barabadi is scheduled to attend the event.
The int’l book fair hosts publishers, authors, representatives and movie producers from around the world, assembling for exchanges.
The 69th Frankfurt International Book Fair (Buchmesse) is slated to be held October 11-15, 2017.
